Michael McCullough
I think it is amazing to find someone with such great talent
with a positive, contagious character to adhere to the values and innovative
spirit that impeccably describes the Michael McCullough brand. My name
is Michael McCullough, and I am founder and sole creative designer for “Michael
McCullough, a company that gains its success and growth by word-of-mouth and
one-of-a-kind designs on sneakers, furniture, and apparel for 7 years
running. Since the company’s growth, my designs have been created
for music legends such as Dead Prez, John Legend, Big Daddy
Kane, Doug E. Fresh, and more recent artists such as Trey Songz and
Donnell Jones, Drumma boy, Neyo, Sean Garrett, Young Jeezy, Cherish, Exile,
Nas, Chris Paul to name a few.
In addition to my ever growing resume, my artwork has been showcased in the following:
· Kick Factory referenced in Slam Presents: Kicks magazine, August 18, 2006 issue
· International sneaker battles, the first in Edison , New Jersey and the second in Atlantic City where I took home the “Best Customized Themed Shoe” award in September, 2006
· Designed sneakers for rap artist Gorilla Zoe in "Coffee Shop" video, Summer 2007
· Molecule Gathering mural at local Atlanta sneaker boutique 'Urban Fusion', Summer 2007
· "Celebrating Originality" art show at adidas Originals Atlanta, October, 2007
When I create my designs, I reference science, nature, and the ever-changing world around me. However, my most abstract designs are of microscopic entities not visible by the human eye and are visual representations of what the “true” foundations of life are. Every shoe, like the artist who designed it, is different. The design not only represents my vision, but serves as a constant reminder and appreciation of the basic foundations of life.
Since I began painting, my art has been the vessel that enables me to contribute great imagery to the world. Not only is the molecule born of unique origins, it serves as a great palette for my inspiration and design. As Michael McCullough, I strive that my brand serves as more than just another source of income for me, I envision it being a catalyst that creates artistic environments, networks, and information learned that will enable great design.
Michael McCullough, being one of the few mainstream companies to adhere to the art and fashion connoisseur alike, my original designs can easily fulfill the popular demand of all walks of life, from the early adopter to the metro consumer who looks for unique, exclusive designs. Enclosed are photos and samples of my work. Inside you will find a Beckenbauer track top titled Molecule System, inspired by the human respiratory system and a pair of appropriately named Mitochondria Stan Smiths. I am sure you will find inspiration, dedication, perseverance and eccentric design in the models provided.
